Gianvito Rossi is a premium Italian luxury shoe brand with a global presence in the high-end fashion market.

As a UI Designer, I led the full e-commerce website redesign, including style guide creation, homepage design, category and product pages, checkout, and email templates. The new design delivers an elegant, mobile-first shopping experience that enhances usability, brand storytelling, and online sales.

Before the website redesign, the Gianvito Rossi e-commerce store was functional, allowing customers to purchase products, but it was too generic with limited brand expression and there was a disconnection between the premium boutique experience in physical stores and the website. The e-commerce store styling and experience was inconsistent, and the website didn't fully reflect the craftsmanship, elegance, and identity of the Italian luxury footwear brand.

The website redesign transformed the website into a fully branded digital ecosystem that is seamlessly and consistently aligned with Gianvito Rossi’s physical stores and luxury positioning on the market. The result is a cohesive, elegant online experience that communicates sophistication of products and usability.

A full e-commerce design store list of deliverables was designed during the project:

  • UI designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports.

  • User flow and interactions.
  • Homepage with navigation and megamenus with improved search suggestions.

  • Product listing pages (PLPs) with different layouts and user-friendly filters.

  • Product detail pages (PDPs) including variations, options, and interaction states.

  • Cart drawer for smooth add-to-cart flow.

  • Sleek and fast checkout process optimized for mobile-first usage.

  • Email templates consistent with the website’s style.
  • UI Style Guide including color palette, typography, icons, button states, and all interactive elements 


Impact & Improvements

Although exact metrics (conversion rate, bounce rate, engagement) are proprietary, the redesign was created with measurable outcomes in mind:

  • Improved site navigation for faster product discovery.
  • A mobile-first shopping experience optimized for touch interactions.
  • Streamlined checkout flow to reduce friction and cart abandonment.
  • Consistent branding across all digital and physical touchpoints.

This approach ensures not only improved usability but also long-term design scalability — supporting new collections, campaigns, and features without losing consistency.
